Why we built MiraHire
Hiring for a small team is a lopsided problem. You post one role and get hundreds of applications, but you have no recruiter to read them and often no clear picture of who you actually need — especially for a role outside your own expertise. The usual "AI recruiting" answer is a black-box match score: a number with no reasoning you can inspect or correct. For a decision as consequential as who you hire, that's not good enough.
So MiraHire starts a step earlier and works differently. First it helps you clarify the role through a short guided conversation, turning what you're trying to build into a concrete profile. Then it screens every candidate against that profile and shows the evidence, transferable skills, and risk signals behind each score — a ranked, explainable shortlist a human can actually check. It informs the decision; your team makes it.
What we believe
- Explainable over impressive. A score you can't inspect can't be trusted or corrected. Every judgment MiraHire makes comes with its reasoning attached.
- A human stays in the loop. AI should remove the busywork of reading and ranking, not make the hiring decision. MiraHire never decides who gets hired.
- Practical, not hype. We build for the lean team that needs to move today — fast to set up, honest about limits, useful from the first role.
- Fair by design. Scoring against a clearly defined role, with visible evidence and consistent (deterministic) results, is more defensible than opaque keyword matching.
